I woke up this morning not feeling to flash not sure if its my body detoxing or just the usual yucky feeling .
I felt nausea's I just had my 2 teaspoon's of maca powder and barley green in water. i didn't feel like a green smoothie today the thought of it made me feel even more nausea's. I had about a dozen mulberries from the tree and picked and ate a few strawberries. I layed naked in the sunshine to get my Vitamin D. I like to do it every day when possible (lucky we live in the bush with no neighbours) in the sunshine for an hour this morning it was lovely ! just drank water most of the morning , emptied my bowels twice this morning almost diarrhea it felt like detoxing or maybe too much seed cheese dip yesterday. I almost had that rich heavy feeling most of the day. For lunch I made a zucchini & tomato soup it was rather delicious.
2 medium tomatoes.
1/2 zucchini.
1 clove of garlic.
1 medjool date.
few basil leaves.
few parsley sprigs.
spring onion.
1 cup of water.
Put every thing into the blender, blend until smooth.
I garnished it with a slice of tomato and a sprig of
basil. Serves one !
Later in the afternoon I had 1/2 an avocado with dulse flakes and for dinner I had a bowl of finely shredded
cabbage with some raw almond butter. Had a few glasses of water, really felt like drinking water today probably to help flush the toxins out of my body ! I 'll be back tomorrow with a new recipe, what will I have for lunch and dinner I have no idea yet so it will be a surprise for me as well .

Date And Orange Truffles !
Date & Orange Truffles !This is my healthy raw creation! I made these up last week and I store them in a glass jar in the fridge.
200grams Medjool dates
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup pumpkin seeds (pepita's)
zest of 1 medium orange(very finely)
Raw cocoa powder to roll truffles in. (You only need about a teaspoon full).
Use a food processor or blender to grind up seeds then blend well together with dates and zest then roll into balls about the size of walnuts. This amount made 18 truffles they are healthy, raw and delicious . So when you get a craving for some thing sweet one or two should satisfy that craving. Keep in the fridge !They reminded me of jaffas.
They would be lovely to make for Christmas presents !

Making Sauerkraut !
Today I Made Raw Sauerkraut !
A tablespoon a day of raw sauerkraut is vital for good health they say. Raw kraut will colonize your colon with friendly flora that will produce vitamin B12 to meet all your body's needs. If you suffer with digestive problems eg cramps, diarrhea constipation or crohn's then eat fresh raw sauerkraut daily. About 10 years ago when I went raw I made this but I didn't like it (My eldest son ate it all )but now I know that my gut flora is so low I will make my self like it. Earlier this year I went and saw a clinical nutritionist and had some stool samples sent of to a lab in the Eastern States it cost me $350. It revealed my gut flora was very low and I had a parasite Dientamoeba Fragilis. So I took a herbal remedy to get rid of that, I also took a high strength pro biotic that was costing me $4.50 a day. Still not feeling any better after all that so I'm looking forward to my sauerkraut being ready to eat. Here is my recipe.
1 large green cabbage
6 cloves of garlic .
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon of Himalayan salt.
1 Whole apple.
handful of sultanas.
Save a few of the outer cabbage leaves to put on top.
I finely chopped up about 3/4 of the cabbage and put into my ceramic crock pot . Then I chopped up the rest and put it in to my blender with 2 cups of water , garlic, whole apple and salt then blended it until smooth.
Then I poured it over the cabbage in the crock pot stirred through the sultanas and mixed it really well then pushed it down as much as possible then layered the cabbage leaves over the top then I put a tea towel over that then a saucepan on top leave for 6 days then it is ready. if the weather is warmer it will take less time. store in glass jars in the fridge will last a few months. also spoon off any dark or off colour spots or white scum that may be on top of the sauerkraut, this is harmless yeast called kaham. To receive the benefits of the live lactobacillus bacteria ,consume the sauerkraut as soon as possible. After a short period of time the bacteria will die off.
Raw Sauerkraut is wonderful and strengthening for the digestion ,full of lactic acid which regenerates the bowel flora and has all kinds of enzymes, live lacto-bacilius bacteria, choline, acetylcholine, vitamin C (wow those last three build strong brains and memory ) B-complex vitamins including B12 and lots of other good things !

Tomatoes With Seed Cheese !
This was my lunch and dinner today, it was so delicious that I had it for both meals. I made the seed cheese yesterday. Here is my recipe.
2 cups sunflower seeds.
1/2-1 tablespoon Italian herbs.
1 teaspoon Himalayan salt.
Soak the sunflower seeds in water for at least 2 hours, I left mine probably about 4 hours.(filtered water with out nasty chemicals will be healthier).
Then blend up with the soak water add salt and herbs, blend until really smooth. Put into a jar with a cloth cover over the top, I used a piece of old stocking. You could use cheese cloth and leave out over night for it to ferment . We tasted it last night and we had some Kev and I both loved it, I thought it tasted great as a dip or spread. I had some last night on tomatoes and the same for lunch and dinner today as well. It didn't taste like it had fermented, probably because the weather was a little cool here last night any way it's half gone I will leave it out again tonight and tomorrow I will turn it upside down for the liquid to drain out and then you will have seed cheese. But it is delicious as a dip on tomatoes. I give it 10 out of 10 .
Tomorrow I will tell you what it tastes like as a cheese.
Through out the day I had one of the smoothies that I made for breakfast it made 2 jars and a little bit. In the afternoon I felt a little fatigued it could have been spending too much time blogging on the computer. So I had 2 of my date and orange truffles which went down well it could have been my blood sugar dropping. Then later on I felt hungry I had a banana smoothie using the same blender from my morning smoothie 1 large banana and some water that seemed to fill me up until I had my dinner. Also yesterday I was making zucchini chips in the food dehydrator my son Jack said they tasted like potato chips ! Every thing I make I will give recipes and tips ! So stay tuned for the next exciting update of my raw food journey, What will be on the menu tomorrow.

This Is Day 10 Eating Raw !
I started this raw journey on November the 1st 2010 So I'm going to document my journey for myself and to share with others on recipes I make and how I feel on the journey . Basically I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired .I tried raw eating about 10 years ago for 6 months but wasn't feeling that great I was too thin, always felt fatigued and felt weak so I gave that up and started eating meat and felt better for a little while. This last year I have felt dreadful I have suffered from chronic fatigue since1993 I suffer with a lot of anxiety and panic attacks. I have tried all sorts of things to try and get well way too many to list and remember. So to cut a long story short I'm going to try eating raw again but this time I'm going to add a lot more greens in the way of green smoothies, last time I made lots of juices but I always thought I was throwing away all that fibre that would be better for my body. So since last time I have read and realise I need all that fibre to keep my body healthy. I think juices are fine for a few days or some times but not all the time way too high in sugar and no fibre. So this is day 10 on my journey I weighed myself yesterday and I weigh 55 kilo's I 've lost 2 kilos in 9 days I don't want to loose any more weight. Also this year I was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia where my blood sugars drop way to quickly and I was also diagnosed with a condition called pyroluria where the body excretes to much zinc as well as vitamin B6. So with all the greens I have been having I should be getting enough zinc in my diet .
